My maytag bravos stops working during the spin cycle. Washer stops lid lock light flashes and most of the time in order to get it to work again i have to unplug the machine plug it back in then switch it over to drain and spin cycle. Larger items or loads tend to settle on one side of the washer drum during a cycle. As it spins it will simultaneously throw water out of the appliance through the drain hose which empties into a sink or drain pipe.

The lid switch is normally located beneath the main top with a projection on the lid or a pin attached to the lid that will actuate the switch when the lid is closed. If the lid switch assembly fails the washer will not spin. One common cause why a maytag top load washer won t spin is due to an uneven load or jammed clothing. Once the washer door is closed the washer can begin operating. If you choose the no spin or low spin option your maytag washer might not remove all of the water from your clothes.
